Wintec Dynamics' breakthrough: welcoming the smart power era

2024-04-16Wintec Dynamics

Joint modules are the core of robots, connecting all components and enabling flexible motion and motion control. Through continuous innovation and breakthroughs, we successfully solved two long-standing challenges in the robotics industry. An ideal joint module can realize multi-axis connections in robotic arms, enabling humanoid robots to perform human-like movements such as rotation, lifting, and multi-directional bending. Therefore, compact, lightweight, high-torque, and high-precision joint modules are the core of robot value.

Industry challenge 1: too many module specifications

At present, robotic arms need at least seven joint modules, and each module has different torque requirements. Module sizes increase from wrist to shoulder to meet different torque needs. Each module must be designed and manufactured independently, resulting in many product types and specifications, wasted resources, and more complex production management. This makes joint modules expensive and becomes a major obstacle to realizing humanoid robots.

To solve this problem at the root, Wintec's engineering team carried out extensive research and practical experiments and boldly proposed an innovative reducer-and-motor combination solution. If this solution is widely adopted, it is expected to promote technological innovation and structural optimization and bring new influence and change to the robotics industry.

1. Innovative solution: reduce module specifications

This will drive a new round of change in the robotics industry.

The common size range of robot joint modules is 50 mm to 140 mm. After repeated research and practical validation, Wintec proposed an innovative reducer-and-motor combination solution:

01 Use a 52 mm diameter to replace 50 mm and 60 mm.

02 Use a 70 mm diameter to replace 70 mm and 80 mm.

03 Use 108 mm to replace 110 mm and 120 mm diameters.

2. Structural optimization: perfect combination

Structural optimization significantly improves the robot torque density ratio. Compared with mainstream modules, Wintec's new combined module is smaller, lighter, and stronger, and different specifications can replace modules of the same size.

3. Wintec: precision manufacturing

The combination of high torque density and flat design reflects Wintec's four years of accumulated achievements in servo motor manufacturing.

Our products have more than 20 years of advanced manufacturing management experience. By sharing components, we reduced the specifications of combined modules, effectively lowered procurement and inventory costs, and controlled production costs. This greatly helps many robot R&D and manufacturing companies reduce costs and improve efficiency, and is expected to become an important milestone in the development of the robotics industry.

Wintec will continue to pursue excellence in precision integrated components, strive to break import barriers, and contribute to building outstanding humanoid robot companies.
